Animals do not have human privileges. They do have certain rights.
I propose the following Animal Bill of Rights.
1. Animals have the right not to be abused.
2. Animals have the duty to serve man.
including...
a. seeing eye dogs.
b. hearing dogs.
c. experimental animals.
d. farm animals.
3. Animals come second to man.
4. Animals that are considered pest are to be exterminated when they enter mans' dwellings.
5. Cats are the only animal that man should go out of his way to help.

Animals should never be abused. We should care for them. If an animal is abused the people who abuse it should be prosecuted. I do not put up with cold-hearted abuse.
An good example of this was that donkey in the Seattle area that was beat to death by two teenagers. The donkeys name was Paso (spelling???). He was in a public park. He had been there for years and years. One night two kids decided they wanted to be cruel. What they did was beat the donkey with a board. The donkey was tied to a tree and was unable to escape. This angers me. I know a lot of people were upset by this crime and they wanted to see long jail terms for these kids. But the crime they committed was not that serious in the eyes of the law and they got off easy. This is the abuse that I don't think any animal deserves.
